HELLO, THIS IS A TEST OF THE EMERGENCY BROADCASTING SYSTEM

Howdy, I'm Glimmer and this is my little home on the internet.

Over time I've had a lot of different personal websites but this is what I hope is my permanent one. It's my everything website, my portfolio, general gallery, the hub for all my projects! While I can still be found on various social media, I do have a hard time keeping up with all of them at once, so here is where everything will be and where I will update the most frequently. I also have just a few personal things here as well, like links to my friends and their projects, a list of the webcomics I read, and a blog! Nothing here updates on a schedule so subscribing to my RSS feed will be the best way to keep track of new goings ons. (Once I set this up)

The 2023 illustration gallery is up for your viewing pleasure! The extra back end work for these pages isn't as annoying as I thought. I'm sure I won't be saying that when I get to later years where I drew a LOT more but for now, it's not too bad.

I plan to continue to slowly update the galleries for now. I might have a blog post coming soonish but I keep starting to write and then getting annoyed or tired half way through so we will see! Beyond that, I've been starting to get the Webcomic Faves page together. I really want to work on any of the projects pages but I just do not have the energy to tackle them currently. There has been a lot of IRL priorities to handle and it'll likely continue this way through August, so I may not make as many updates as last month. Still I hope you enjoy!

So I didn't want to go through the effort of adding every gallery without completing the layout for the illustrations, so that's what today's update is! If you go ahead and view the 2024 gallery and click on any of the thumbnails, they will take you to a new page that displays the illustration, with some information.

The new page layout includes:
-Title of the illustration
-Completion date of the illustration
-A description/commentary that allows for more than just a handful of words
-Ability to click on the smaller thumbnail and view the full image like before

I'm pretty happy with the results. It's going to be more work for me on the back end, yes, but it's worth it if it gives me the results I want. It will take me some time to get the rest of the galleries up still, but I think that's going to be my biggest goal for the next few months. Until next time!

The first blog post is up! It's about my experience with mental health meds and what I've been going through the past few months. It's probably not everyone's cup of tea and it honestly felt weird to write, but it was also cathartic in a way. It was interesting to think and look back on the experiences. I want to write some more blog posts soon, I've had a lot of thoughts going on and writing it out has been good for me. Until next time!

Finally fixed the resolution on the website. It broke when I started this, couldn't figure out the problem, never fixed it. Didn't help that this was after I found out the responsive layout was broken af, so I was just wanting to get the website fixed asap. Now it's finally where I want it.

Blog post still coming soon, just want to refine it and give myself more time to build the page for blog posts.

Just a quick little update:
-Added gallery images so you can select a gallery by year
-Added this to the Sketches as well
-Added the 2024 completed pieces gallery and made the year selectable from the completed pieces page

All this stuff is subject to change later. Some years may be combined for lack of art in the gallery selections. I also plan to change how the galleries are displayed, creating pages with commentary on the pieces. For now, they are just viewable. But all this will come later, when I have more time. What will be coming soon is a blog post, I'm hoping to have it up by tomorrow.

It's been a minute, I have been working on this website a lot behind the scenes but it doesn't seem like it when you guys can't see progress! It didn't help that I was on vacation from June 29th until July 6th, so that slowed progress for a bit.

The main thing I've been working on is organizing all of my illustrations for the gallery. Originally I only really went as far back as 2015, with a handful of other drawings, and even then it wasn't a complete gallery. Well in the process of moving things around, I decided to go digging deeper into my harddrives and online galleries. I have been able to dig up stuff as old as 2008! (Actually as old as 2006 but it was only one or two pieces) None of it was really organized however, so not only has it been quite the adventure just finding it all, but then I still am trying to organize from oldest to newest in each year. It'll be worth it to have my most complete gallery in one place, but it is extremely time consuming.

However when it comes to progress you can see, I have updated my old Caruso Legacy webpages to be linked here instead and got all the images uploaded! The website was never finished so there's still a lot to be added on there, but it is viewable again! I adore this project so it felt good to get the webpages back up. I want to try to focus some updates here while I continue to organize files.

But that's about it! I'll be back at you guys a lot sooner for the next update :)

Alright there's finally a website here! Sorta, lol I've got the layout worked out and I'm happy with it. There will be a few adjustments to things later but for now, I wanted to keep things simple enough to get the pages worked up quickly. All of the links except the one for The Caruso Legacy should work, that one is going to take a few adjustments before it's running, but I didn't want to focus on it right now. Everything is marked as "COMING SOON" so there's still a lot of work to be done! It'll be fun to look back at these updates in the future to see the growth this website will take. :)
